Community Standards

Server Rules

Tik RP is a serious roleplay community. These rules exist to keep the city immersive, fair and enjoyable for everyone. By connecting to the server you agree to follow them. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse — if you're unsure, ask a staff member in our Discord before you act. Staff decisions are final, and these rules may be updated at any time; it's your responsibility to stay current.

01 General Conduct

The ground rules for being part of the community, in-game and out.

  1. Treat every member of the community with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, slurs, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated — in-game, in Discord, or in voice.
  2. You must be 16 or older to play on Tik RP. A clear, working microphone is required for roleplay.
  3. Real-world threats, doxxing (sharing someone's personal information), and sharing another member's private content without consent are serious offences and may result in a permanent ban.
  4. Keep genuinely sensitive subjects out of roleplay. Zero tolerance for roleplay involving sexual assault, rape, self-harm or suicide, serious real-world terrorism, or the harming of children.
  5. Do not advertise other servers, communities, or businesses without staff permission.
  6. Respect staff and follow their instructions. If you disagree with a decision, handle it calmly through a report or ticket — not by arguing in-game.
  7. You are responsible for your own account. Account sharing, selling, or buying is prohibited.

02 Roleplay Rules

The core standards that make Tik RP a serious roleplay server. Stay in character and keep every scene believable.

  1. Stay in character (IC) at all times while connected. Your character should behave like a real person would in that situation.
  2. No RDM (Random Deathmatch). You may not attack, kill, or harm another player without clear, valid roleplay reason and prior interaction.
  3. No VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch). Do not use your vehicle as a weapon to ram, run over, or kill players without roleplay justification.
  4. No metagaming. Do not use out-of-character information (stream chat, Discord, a friend's call, who you "know" is in a car) to influence your character's in-game decisions.
  5. No powergaming. Do not force actions on other players, use unrealistic or impossible abilities, or roleplay in a way that removes others' ability to respond. Give people a fair chance to react.
  6. Value of Life (VOL). Your character values their life as you would value your own. Comply realistically when a gun is pointed at you, or when outnumbered — don't act fearless to "win".
  7. New Life Rule (NLR). If your character is downed and respawns at the hospital, they forget the events leading up to their death and must not return to the scene or seek revenge for it. Wait until the active scene has fully ended.
  8. No fail-RP. Act realistically and in line with your character and surroundings. No unrealistic driving, stunting during serious scenes, or breaking immersion for others.
  9. No cop-baiting. Do not provoke or bait police into a chase or response purely to create action with no genuine roleplay purpose behind it.
  10. No combat/fear-RP avoidance. You cannot log out, disconnect, or run to a safe zone to escape an active roleplay scene (this is "combat logging").
  11. Respect safe/green zones (e.g. hospitals, police stations, and other designated areas). No crime or hostile roleplay in these locations.
  12. Hostage & robbery limits apply — see the Criminal & Gangs section below.

03 Communication

How we keep voice, text and chat immersive and understandable for everyone.

  1. No OOC (out-of-character) talk in-character. Keep real-life chatter, "lol", "brb", stream references and meta talk out of IC voice and text. Use the correct OOC channels when you genuinely need to.
  2. English in the main channels. To keep scenes understandable for staff and players, English is required in general in-game voice/text and main Discord channels.
  3. Do not break character to argue rules in-game. If there's a problem, use /report or a Discord ticket after the scene.
  4. No excessive mic spam, voice changers used to troll, ear-rape, soundboards, or playing music over voice comms.
  5. Use /ooc and /me / /do style commands appropriately to describe actions and set scenes where voice can't.
  6. Keep Discord tidy: post in the correct channels, no spam, and no NSFW content anywhere.

04 Criminal & Gang Guidelines

Crime is welcome and encouraged — when it's done as quality roleplay. These limits keep it fair and story-driven.

  1. All criminal activity must be driven by roleplay. The goal is a good story and interaction, not just loot or kills.
  2. Group/robbery limits: stick to the posted maximum number of players per robbery or heist. Do not stack extra crews to overwhelm a scene unfairly.
  3. Hostage rules: a hostage must be a real, willing-to-cooperate player (not a random bystander dragged in to shield you). Keep hostage situations realistic and give negotiators a genuine chance.
  4. You may not rob, kidnap, or seriously harm new players or those clearly still learning. Give people a fair start.
  5. No robbing players for unrealistic amounts, and no robbing someone within a reasonable cooldown of a previous robbery on them.
  6. Gangs must be approved/registered where required. Gang conflict must have an in-character reason — no shooting rival members on sight without ongoing roleplay between the groups.
  7. Corruption roleplay (bent cops/EMS) is only allowed where explicitly permitted and within those guidelines.
  8. Crime should carry risk. Don't expect to break the law with no chance of consequences — getting caught is part of the story.

05 Prohibited: Cheats, Exploits & Modding

The hard lines. Breaking these will normally result in an immediate and permanent ban.

These are zero-tolerance. Our anti-cheat and logs catch far more than people expect.
  1. No cheating software of any kind — menus, injectors, aimbots, triggerbots, ESP/wallhacks, or any third-party tool that gives an unfair advantage.
  2. No exploiting bugs, glitches, or duplication. If you find a bug, report it to staff immediately and do not use it. Abusing a known bug is a bannable offence.
  3. No modified game files, trainers, or client mods that affect gameplay, give advantages, or interfere with the server. (Graphics-only visual mods like ReShade that give no gameplay advantage are generally fine.)
  4. No macros or scripts that automate gameplay or money-making.
  5. No tampering with, spoofing, or spamming the server, its resources, or other players' connections.
  6. No real-money trading (RMT) of in-game assets, cash, or accounts outside the official store.
  7. Attempting to evade a ban (ban evasion) with a second account will result in all linked accounts being permanently banned.

06 Staff & Reports

How issues are handled, and what to do when something goes wrong.

  1. If you experience a rule break, use the in-game /report command or open a ticket in our Discord. Include who, what, when, and any evidence.
  2. Evidence helps. We recommend recording your gameplay (e.g. a short clip). Clear video/screenshots make reports far easier to resolve fairly.
  3. Do not take rule enforcement into your own hands. Let staff handle it — retaliation can land you in trouble too.
  4. Staff are volunteers keeping the city fair. Be patient and respectful; abusing staff is a punishable offence.
  5. Do not impersonate staff or claim staff authority you don't have.
  6. Staff decisions are final in the moment. If you believe a decision was wrong, you may calmly submit a ban/punishment appeal through the proper Discord channel.
  7. Punishments are issued at staff discretion and scale with severity and history — ranging from a verbal warning to a kick, temporary ban, or permanent ban.
